Glavne karakteristike javne površine uz stadion Lapad koje formiraju njegov identitet i način korištenja obilježene su vizualnim i zvučnim zasićenjem te postojećim muralom na ogradnom zidu stadiona. Radi se o proširenju pločnika na istaknutom mjestu raskršća. Cilj projekta je bio zadržati duh mjesta uz nenametljivo unaprijeđenje i opremanje urbanom opremom. Proširenje komunikacije oblikovano je promjenom u karakteru podne površine: raster opločnika je zamijenjen monolitnom plohom u istom materijalu i teksturi. Promjenom hodne plohe, urbanom opremom i postojećim stablom definirano je mjesto za susret i kraći boravak. Osnovna intencija nije bila stvoriti dopadljiv i poliran ambijent kao nametljivu suprotnost postojećem identitetu mjesta, već potvrditi postojeći karakter lokacije.

Rekonstrukcijom postojeće vodovodne stanice u prezentacijski centar izvorne dubrovačke vode dobiva se jedno od više mogućih, točkasto disperziranih mjesta interesa u Rijeci dubrovačkoj s potencijalom da dijelom turistički odterete povijesnu gradsku jezgru. Projektom se tematizira revitalizacija spone grada i njegovog zaleđa, tj. odnos periferije i centra uz mogućnost drugačijih interpretacija postojećih narativa i generiranja novih. Komunalno-tehnička instrastruktura prenamjenjuje se u hibridni oblik društveno-turističke namjene čime se otvara potencijal stvaranja novog mjesta društvenosti.
Prizemni dio građevine sačuvan je u izvornom obliku te formira s prilaznim platoom i konzolnom terasom integralnu cjelinu. Maksimalna prostorna fleksibilnost prizemne hale te njezina programska nedeterminiranost i otvorenost omogućavaju različite moguće scenarije korištenja. Trg – nova Placa vode zajedno s Kućom vode postaje suštinski otvoren prostor kojim se anticipira polivalentno korištenje ovisno o potrebi i dnevnim i sezonskim oscilacijama. Moguće je zamisliti dodatne sadržaje u rasponu od formalnih okupljanja, koncerata, edukacija do dječje igre, zabave, sajma i neformalnog susreta.
Gornji dio postojeće građevine se zamjenjuje kompaktnim volumenom koji se iz funkcionalnih i formalno-urbanističkih razloga transformira substrakcijom od postojećeg korpusa i adicijom novih volumena. Tektonika i odabrani materijal novog volumena s dodanim aneksima interpretira lokalni vernakularni vokabular uz potrebnu transpoziciju oblikovnog jezika u suvremeno.

lzuzetan prirodni krajolik određen je dinamičnom topografijom: stožastim formama glavica i vrtača i obroncima planine Kozjak. Teritorij je lišen prisutva čovjeka u smislu urbanih i ruralnih gradbenih elemenata. lnfrastukturni potez autoceste, kao jedina i istovremeno vrlo snažna intervencija u širem kontekstu, stvara određenu napetost i podjelu u prirodnom okolišu. Ambijent odlikuje ekstrahumano mjerilo.
Vrlo ambiciozan program znanstveno tehnološkog parka zamišljen je kao inicijator i generator razvoja konkurentnog i dinamičnog gospodarstva temeljenog na znanju. Projektom zadani ciljevi nameću neku novu stvarnost u dihotomiji s lokalnim identitetima, načinom života i mentalitetom.
Vankontekstualnost, nepostojanje mjerila, kao i programom zadano redefiniranje društvene stvarnosti anticipiraju koncept kuće koja to nije; kuće kao mehanizma s ambicijom pomirenja višestrukih prostornih i društvenih opozicija i kontradikcija.
Dispozicija građevina unutar ZT parka uvjetovana je postojećim vrtačama koje formiraju svojevrsnu mrežu pješačkih i ozelenjenih mjesta i poteza. Centralni objekt ZT parka tektonski je zamišljen kao masivan solid iznad slobodnog i fluidnog prizemlja; kao sofisticiran, pragmatičan i efektivan radni stroj napramapostavljen ,,mekom” i arkadičnom okolišu. Kompaktan dvoetažan volumen izveden od čelične konstrukcije perforiran je nepravilnim rupama koje osiguravaju prirodno osvjetljenje radnih prostora. Prizemnu etažu definiraju sjena radnog stroja iznad i snopovi svjetlosti kroz pukotine u njemu. Prodori svjetla naglašavaju ritmičnost fluidnog
prostornog toka prizemlja u kojem se izmjenjuju i nadovezuju različite sekvence programa i prirodnog krajolika.

Design proposal for Badel block development identifies the complex urban dynamic of the wider Zagreb downtown area. The project continues to foster this dynamic through operative architectural scenarios, the use of multiple urban typologies and succession of open public spaces.
The concept recognizes the location of Badel block within the lively hybrid neighbourhood of Kvaternik Square, as well as its proximity to the social and cultural nucleus of the Lower Town on the west. Marticeva street, which connects Kvaternik Square area and the downtown centre is seen as a prospective pedestrian axis on account of its slow traffic and existing public infrastructure. The new urban value of Badel block development, which becomes a link between Marticeva Street and Kvaternik Square, is expected to activate Marticeva and enhance its potential as a pedestrian connection. The proposed concept for Badel block design is seen as the focal point of this amended public axis. The axis is therefore directed to pass through the block, which enriches it with new amenities and averts it from the busy intersection on Subiceva Street.
The morphology of Badel block proposal is based on existing Zagreb downtown typologies: urban block and it`s later transformations (interpolation & extrapolation). These typologies are being transformed and adjusted to the Badel block context in order to outline the new urban value. A complex of tailored horizontal bases is juxtaposed with towers on top of them, the scale and orientation of which is determined in regards to the urban matrix of Zagreb downtown and its perimeter.
Instead of being shaped as one central square, Badel block open spaces are organized as a series of smaller activity pockets of different character and type. This concept continues the Kvaternik area typology, which is a hybrid of a residential and a commercial neighbourhood based on the heterogeneous morphology. A positive outdoor space within the block is generated as a sequence of squares suitable for various social groups and a wide range of different activities. The size and orientation of these squares enable for enhanced sun exposure and natural ventilation of exterior and interior spaces. The public space is proportioned both to human scale and to the scale of the urban matrix of the neighbourhood.
Sustainability is treated as a holistic set of processes. The goal of the design is to achieve sustainability on social, cultural, environmental and economic level.
Social sustainability measures include inclusive housing programs, combination of different uses throughout the site, accessible cultural amenities for various users, different typologies of retail which support local tradition, public and commercial uses which facilitate Badel block and the neighbouring area.
Cultural sustainability is fostered by respecting the tradition, at the same time allowing for contextual and contemporary interventions. Zagreb’s urban matrix and the tradition of the city block are the main premise of the design proposal, but that morphology is being adjusted to the context of the site and the design assignment. On a smaller scale, cultural aspect of sustainability is in the treatment of heritage buildings, and in their reuse for prominent public programs.
The measures of environmental sustainability are being applied through the building orientation and location of open spaces in order to achieve favourable sun exposure and natural ventilation of exterior and interior spaces. Buildings on the south are lower to allow the sun to reach structures on the north. Implemented green roofs reduce the heat island effect, collect and filter rain water, which is being re-used for non-potable purposes. Permeable surfaces enable stormwater absorption and filtering, and reduce the risk of flooding.
The ratio of uses, the potential manipulation of BRP, different typologies and possible interaction of programs contribute to the economic aspects of sustainability.

The complexity of the entrance programmatic scheme, along with the natural and traditional values of the site area, indicate the pavilion-type system as an optimal design concept. The initial idea to organize pavilions under a single canopy is being transformed: as the building itself, the canopy is being fragmented into many elements, horizontally and vertically shifted. Fragmentation of the canopy is providing with various added values: formation of programmatic micro localities, unobstructed air circulation, diffuse natural lighting of the building complex interior, simple structural system, and distinguished design language.
The primary design of architectural and landscape elements comes from a simple geometric element, a circle. Circular elements and their horizontal and vertical placement are bio-mimicry of the surrounding natural environment: by replicating the structural logic of plants, created is a composition amid nature and architecture, indoors and outdoors, a city and a house, texture and light. Such design of the entrance complex, despite its size, becomes unobtrusive with respect to traditional architecture and environmental values of the Natural Park Krka.
Landscape design of the site area and the architectural complex are treated as two inseparable and corresponding features. The discourse between architecture and nature is evident through functional and design aspects. Circle and its mutations are consistently applied to the landscape just as they are to architecture, whereas the green surfaces within the complex act as scenic intermissions within a programmatically dense environment.
